Ian Langohr was commissioned to make a fantastic Cthulhu mask. The masks he makes are carved out of ethafoam and then have fabric, usually polar fleece, spray glued on. They are then sewn meticulously and airbrushed to create depth. The final stages involve creating details such as the eyes, which are heat formed from plastic, and hand painting textures. Padding is then added to the inside of the head for comfort.
